burned my finger on the iron – it surprises me how much I use my left hand

spilled a tray of unfrozen ice cubes on myself and the floor when I went to get something cold to put on the burn

dropped every single spool of thread I picked up

tomorrow is the first day of school – I think I'll turn in now.

harvest

sept 1

I wasn't sure what I was doing for this month, until Kate brought tomatoes for lunch. And photographed them. And after we fell about laughing at the things we could do with a dishtowel, and Alice's new exquisitly soft fleece and the world's cheapest Ott light (and Kate's camera and smarts) I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do for September.

Because September is a month of harvest.

My plan, and I do have one, is to haunt the farmer's markets for the month. Which should be delicious.
