sombrero light/reef

We snorkeled. Alice turned blue and swallowed ocean and stopped first, Al and Aerin swallowed more water and finished next, I kept floating along staring at things. It was fun, and a little freaky. I have no pictures of the underwater, because my camera is NOT waterproof.

going to forage for food, like the pelicans, except I will not fold up and plummet into the water to retrieve it….
fish sweater done

The edges are stitched up, the ends woven in (and knotted too) and the whole thing is ready to send along with the hat to cover the nephew with fishes.
Next up – ankle eating fish socks.

crow feets

I finished some arm warmers for Alice from the end of the noro socks, then started some socks – lovely cashmere blend from String Theory, pattern called Crow's Feet from Linda Welch. (If that link doesn't work it means you have to join Ravelry, a knitting and crochet community. If you don't want to do that, that's OK too. I am obsessed at the moment, but not everyone is!)
the flock

A sweet knitted chick pattern has become an entire flock using nothing but left over scraps. Although I have not yet used the tail end of the Noro Silk sock yarn to knit one – that would make a rough navy blue chick.
We had a snow day today, which seemed unreasonable until the snow started really coming down about 9:00, and would have made kid retrieval problematical. And we’ve had school pre-canceled for tomorrow, on the strength of the forecast. Ice, freezing rain and more snow. I’m fine with that, although the kids will be in school until July at this rate.

I’m not sure what comes next, but you’ll see it here as soon as I know.
